Mr. Healy joined the firm in 2017 as an associate. He focuses his practice in family law, criminal defense, and serious traffic offenses.

Mr. Healy is a graduate of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.  During law school, Mr. Healy served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the University of Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender and Class, and as a member of the law school’s Moot Court Board.   Mr. Healy also was a Writing Fellow for the law school’s Legal Writing Center.  In addition, Mr. Healy spent a year working with the Appellate and Post-conviction Advocacy Clinic. As a member of the clinic, Mr. Healy served as a Rule 19-217 student-attorney.  The clinic represents incarcerated individuals who have been convicted of felony offenses.

Prior to joining Richard L. Healy, P.C., Mr. Healy interned during his summer breaks at two Baltimore-based law firms and at the State’s Attorney’s Office for Frederick County
